MORE ABOUT US
Andrew and Gabriella Hart
My professional background is in agricultural and residential construction, fields in which I worked while attending my local community college; from which I hold an associate's degree. I served 6 years in Virginia's National Guard as a non-commissioned officer. We were married in 2020 which is when I took up caning as a hobby and over the last few years grew it as a side business until April of 2022, when we were able to take it full time.
My wife, Gabriella, has a background in bookkeeping (very handy) but once our son was born we decided it would be best for her to focus on raising him and head the broom making department.
Our current projects outside of work are the construction of our home on the family farm as well as beekeeping.

CANING SERVICES
How to price your piece
The first two pictures are a reference for pricing your piece.
Weaving is priced per drilled hole for hand woven cane and by the inch of the longest dimension for all other weaves.
COUNTING THE HOLES
Count the holes that are drilled around the perimeter of the seat in the wooden frame. Once you have counted the total number of drilled holes, multiply the number of holes by the rate.
Be sure to not count the holes made by the woven pattern.
MEASURING THE RAIL
For all other types of caning and weaving, measure the single longest dimension and multiply the length by the rate of the weave you have.
Measurements are rounded to the nearest quarter of an inch.
